Some tabs are specific to one instrument, you can find more detail on the specific tabs in the topic dedicated to the instrument.

General Information

In the General Information tab, you can add or remove the attached documents once the creation is completed, from the grid of the instrument.

Info

In the fields beginning with a search button (icon representing a magnifier), the entry of a few letter open a list of suggestions. Just click one suggestion to add it into the field.

The Portfolio and the FolderClosed Customizable collection of financial assets that can be linked to a currency, a company or a counterparty. correspond to levels of grouping.

Completing the Folder triggers the automatic filling of the section fields with the info it contains. The Portfolio gathers your selection of instruments.

Both elements enable you, for instance, to add dedicated columns into your customized views.

Characteristics

In the Characteristics tab, enter the Amount and CurrencyClosed Medium of exchange in current use within a particular country. of the transaction. You must also enter the Start Date and End Date of the transaction and plan or not the Deferment of maturity dates (when the date falls on a closed day, as defined in the calendar), with or without the Adjust Interests option.
Closed days, e.g. Saturday (closing day), Sunday (day off), as well as public holidays, are covered by the Deferment function.
The Next Current Month option of the Deferment function respects the following rule: if the theoretical maturity date falls on a closed day and the deferment proposes a day of the following month, then the calculated day becomes the first open day before the theoretical maturity date.
The Adjust Interests option consists in recalculating the interests amount, based on the deferred dates and the recalculated number of days.

Fees and Taxes

The Fees and Taxes tab presents elements of the recurring Fees and Taxes or those associated with a part of the operation and the fees that do not depend on the operation.

  1. To enter a commission, click the + Add a row link. If you want to enter a tax, select the corresponding option.

  2. Complete the Calculation Basis and Amount fields.

  3. And finally, validate your input with the save button represented by a floppy disk at the beginning of the row.

The next section enables you to enter other fees and is based on the same principles.

In both sections, you can add as many rows as necessary.

Settlement

The Settlement tab enables you to enter the different bank accounts to be used for posting flows into the Cash module.
You can select a bank account for each defined element: Initial, Interests, Maturity, Fees, Taxes.
In situations where the account currency is different from the transaction currency, a conversion is applied with the default rate in the rates table on the transaction date, or the last known rate before the transaction date. This rate will be used to generate the cash flows.

Schedule

The Schedule tab recaps the characteristics that you entered in the other tabs. The schedule uses the transaction currency.

The value of the variable rate is based on the maturity date rather than on the theoretical date of the schedule.
You can modify the value of the rate directly on the schedule. A manual recalculation must be executed to integrate the modification.
Changing any of the transaction characteristics results in the schedule recalculation, and cancels all previous changes made manually. For more information, see the Change Payment Schedule topic.
Reconciled elements are excluded from the recalculation.
