Importing/Exporting Templates

Each report from the platform is based on a template, i.e. a file organizing a selection of data in a particular presentation.

You can import templates from other user profiles and from your Help Center.

The Report Templates page of the Help Center offers different templates ready to use as TRDP and JSON files to be downloaded.

Import and Export depend on the type of report.

Basic and Portlet Reports

The templates of Basic and Portlet Reports can be imported in TRDP format.

To import a template for Basic and Portlet types:

  1. Go to Administration module and select the right report type from the Analysis - Reports menu.

  2. Open the reference templateClosed Predefined template of report, base of the customized templates. of the template you want to add by clicking the edition icon button.

  3. In the new window, click Add, then Add file to insert your TRDP file.

Your new report template appears in the list of the corresponding submenu in Analysis - Reports.

Grid Reports

The templates of Grid Reports can be imported in JSON format.

To import a template for the Grid type:

  1. Make sure you saved the JSON file on your computer, go to Administration tab and open the Grid Reports Setup submenu of the Analysis - Reports menu.

  2. Click Export/Import File and select Import JSON.

  3. In the new window, click Select files.... Choose the JSON file on your computer, click Open then Apply and close the opened windows.

    Your new Grid Report template can be accessed from the list of reports in the View area of the corresponding gridClosed Table presenting a set of numerical data..

This type of template can also be exported into other user profiles.

To export a template for the Grid type:

  1. Go to Administration module and select the right report type from the Analysis - Reports menu.

  2. Select the template to export. Click Export/Import File and select Export Selection (JSON)

  3. In the new window, click OK and choose a location on your computer.

  4. Click Save.

You can now use the JSON file of your Grid Report.

Important

The visibility of the report templates to be exported must be Public. This feature can be set up during the template creation through the option: This filter is visible by following profile.
