Balances Engine options
Before initializing the balances, you can enable or disable some options in the Administration module for balance calculation.
In the Configuration menu, click General Settings. In the modules tree structure, click the Module: Cash folder, and then expand the Balances Engine subfolder.
If you want the initial balance to remain editable at any time, select this option: (1) - Allow changing initial balance records (During days other than creation day). Otherwise, the initial balance is only editable on the day it is created (calendar day before the balance calculation is launched).
If you want to create, change, and delete correction balances, select this option: (2) - Allow usage of correction balance records.
Select option (3) if you want to authorize the creation of entries with a transaction date or value date prior or equal to the corresponding initial balance date of the initial balance entry. If you select this setting, option (4) enables you to include these entries into the balance and option (5) to exclude them from it.
Important
Options (3), (4) and (5) can be set as long as no initial balance has been created. Afterwards, these options are no longer editable.
Example
Initialization date of balances= 10/1/2022
Creation date of the record for account initialization= 10/13/2022

Option 1 disabled: The initial balance can no longer be edited as of 10/14/2022 at 2am.

Option 2 enabled: Correction records can be entered at any time.

Option 3 enabled: It is possible to create entries whose transaction date or value date is earlier than the initialization date (10/1/2022).

Option 4 enabled: The balance amount entered on 10/13/2022 does not include entries whose transaction date or value date is earlier than or equal to the initialization date (10/1/2022). The entries affect the balance.
Option 4 disabled: The balance amount entered on 10/13/2022 includes entries whose transaction date or value date is earlier than or equal to the initialization date (10/1/2022). The entries do not affect the balance.

Option 5 enabled: It is possible to create entries whose transaction date or value date is earlier than the initialization date (10/1/2022). If their creation date is later than the initialization date (10/13/2022), then these entries affect the balance.
